Adams Apple was started as a retail store in Mochudi in 1984, and we started farming around 1990 with one hectare as a hobby and grew to around 40 hectares today. In 2006 we shut the retail side and exclusively did the farming.
We plant potatoes, tomatoes, b-nut, carrots, onions, beet root, oranges, grapes, bananas.
Our biggest crop is cabbage which we plant up to 500 000 heads a year.
We have milking cows for milk, chickens, eggs beef and lamb too.
We make yoghurt, traditional madila (sour milk) and fresh raw milk.
We use bore hole water for irrigation. We have reservoirs around the farm to hold almost a million liters of water.
We grow vegetables open fields, tunnels and shade net. We plant in soil and soilless too.
We grow all kinds of vegetables including a big range of Asian vegetables
In 2008 we exported for the first time to South Africa .
We have fully computerized irrigation equipment.
We have a solid team making this farm a fined tuned working machine.
